zxcvbnm098
Gotta say the McCartney is growing on me. Certainly his best in some time. Not sure it's in the top 10, but he's a Beatle and still trying. I also dig the National (#8) and the Lorde album (#7) and Laura Marling (#20). Still going though the list... I like many of the ones I've heard (Neko Case, Daft Punk, Arcade Fire and a few others) but most of them I haven't heard so I'll reserve judgement. Bridog6996
I mean, it's been a while since Rolling Stone was considered the epitome of taste, but the Chvrches, My Bloody Valentine, Danny Brown, and Artic Monkeys albums are all pretty good. There are certain albums on the list that I think were included mainly based on those artists' past glories, which is frequently the case with lists like this. NewImprov
They probably put Kanye at #2 just to piss him off. Turn up the speaker Hop, flop, squawk It's a keeper -Captain Beefheart, Ice Cream for Crow
Synthoid
most of them I haven't heard so I'll reserve judgement. +1 I'm way behind when it comes to today's music. When an eel hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's a Moray.

As far as this list, I've obviously skipped over what I know is clearly not my cuppa. But the records on this list that I have heard are LCD at best. The exception probably being the Daft Punk. Every year I post my own Best of 2013. Currently I'm whittling down a list of about 80 records (and that doesn't include Free EPs and beattapes). Ian Benhamou
Arctic Monkeys AM at #9 is one of the best albums I've heard in years. Straight up rock/punk with hip-hop-ish production and seedy after midnight lyrics of lust and desire. Never thought I would become a fan but after 2 listens I was completely seduced. matted stump
If Kanye is at #2, no need for me to peruse the list.
