HammondDave
Played a gig last night with my Motif, vB3, and my twin EV ZLX12Ps. The restaurant/club had linoleum floors... That's right... Linoleum! Talk about bouncing sound waves... My ear plugs came in very handy last night.... Anyway, the rig sounded incredible. I had one tilted up as a monitor and one blasting towards the audience. Talk about bass... The organ was intense! People were freaking out how good it sounded... Extremely positive comments... Especially from my band mates. I recommend these speakers to anyone who desires volume and ACCURATE tone! b3plyr
Good report. As a former user of SxA360s (both you and me), how do you compare the sound now that you have some experience with the ZLX12Ps? I'm thinking of using with my Mojo and VB3 with my VAX77. Also, are you still happy with the construction quality?
HammondDave
Well, as you know I loved the SXA 360's. They were built better and had much higher quality drivers and amps. However, I must say that I hear little difference with the sound at high volume levels. The SXA 360's were built like tanks. These speakers are not built as well, And their road worthiness is still under question. But they are a fraction of the price of the SXA's, so..... Fusker
I "echo" Dave's experience. My single ZLX12P did quite well at the large Halloween show. Bobadohshe
Nice Dave. Since picking mine up 4 weeks ago I've already used it in dozens of gig/rehearsal situations. The 2 inputs plus auxiliary input has been an invaluable addition. I had to program a top 40 set on 2 motifs and was able to do it all through this single monitor with my iPhone plugged into the aux for reference. I've kicked bass on a couple organ gigs through it and there is plenty to go around. I am just a little worried about its durability. Any recommendations for a cover for the car? Fusker
I use a padded cover from one of my passive monitors...pretty sure there is a proper one available that I need to get around to getting. That, and I pack it a little more carefully than a passive monitor to keep the control panel out of harms way.
