analogholic
Wow !!! Thanks so much for this! I must have watched the short 3 min version of this at least 20 times! Thanks again! Theo Verelst
Ok, I have to be clear here: my question/suggestion was: there's patch programming + mixing going on (+effects I suppose, apart from the additional vocoder, and the sound that bleeds trough it when the gate is open), that's what I find interesting too. orangefunk
I think he is also using a Korg DDM drum machine... I had the same model I think... would fit with the 1985 timeline..
Michele C.
The drum machine in the foreground is a Korg DDM 110, I believe. i had one of those, when all the coolness was on Roland's side. http://www.vintagesynth.com/korg/ddm110.php -- Michele Costabile (http://proxybar.net)

Theo Verelst
Anyhow, I watched the whole recording on my big monitors, sounds great, recommended. It now all the more interests me to get certain sound properties I've been working on all the more straight: maybe I'll run this video's audio through my studio signal chain. I think it is a very expressive way of using synths that are known (I had a DW8000 about that time), and sometimes I had the impression he was harmonizing sounds with a midi keyboard, maybe I'll look again to see how he changes the atmosphere of the whole mix he made.
