Although it was up and running yesterday, currently they are having a website database issue. If you are interested, you should keep trying the site through the weekend, or email Alesis to let them know you want one, and perhaps it can be done over the phone, or they will extend through Monday, due to their error.

Worth a try if you want one.

Good luck!

The sale is not limited to Alesis' own site... you can get the same deal at Sweetwater, Musician's Friend, etc.

Maybe this is the best place for a shameless plug! Our now not-so-new new video at https://youtu.be/3ZRC3b4p4EI is a 40 minute adaptation of T. S. Eliot's "Prufrock" - check it out! And hopefully I'll have something new here this year. ;-)

Update: Since it's already "on sale," MF won't let you apply their current "10% off purchases over $99" promo to it... but in lieu of that, I was able to get them to throw in a 15' mic cable.

The Vortex isn't as good as my old original Roland Axis, which went further down to low E, and had a really nice pitch/mod wheel arrangement (though no battery operation). And I really liked the nice customizable patch selection buttons right up top of the later AX-7 (though that lacked aftertouch and the nice wheels of the original Axis). I also liked the Casio AZ-1 which was kind of in between those two in features. But heck, for $150... the Alesis is new, and you don't have to worry about it like you do the more "vintage" stuff.
