mak1457
I would imagine any clonewheel coupled with a MS Pro 3-X would sound awesome. But I'm wondering about a couple particulars. I've read it's recommended to use a keyboard amp in order to get the bass from the organ. With keyboard amps getting a bad rep, would a supposedly junky sound coming from an amp be canceled out by the Pro 3-X? Another thing, I'm thinking about getting the new XK-1c in a couple months. Would using the Pro 3-X cancel the internal Leslie settings? From experience, I know that's what a real Leslie would do. Joe Muscara
would a supposedly junky sound coming from an amp be canceled out by the Pro 3-X? All you're using from the keyboard amp is the bass, so it's generally fine. The issue with keyboard amps is more with full-range sounds. Would using the Pro 3-X cancel the internal Leslie settings? From experience, I know that's what a real Leslie would do. The Pro 3X only has 1/4" inputs IIRC, so it doesn't cancel the built-in Leslie sim. Instead, you have to manually bypass the sim. Uh, that's totally unfamiliar territory for me. How do you do that. Any way using both might sound even remotely good? People do it all the time, whether they use the Pro-3X, the Vent, the Burn, or a real Leslie. "I'm so crazy, I don't know this is impossible!
