Jeff_D_in_MD
Some of my fellow musicians have attachments that allow an ipad or other tablet to be mounted to their mic stand. Does anybody know of something that would allow mounting directly to a keyboard stand instead? I have both a normal X stand and platform stand by On Stage Stands. SpaceNorman
Any chance that the Nord Electro 3HP mentioned in your signature block is your "2nd tier" keyboard? If it is - you might consider using 4 Velcro dots and simply stick your iPad on the open real estate to the left or right of the Electro's controls. I've been using Velcro to stick my iPad on the open space to the right of the controls of my Kronos for over a year now and find that it works great for me. It's within easy reach - and is very unobtrusive. The SpaceNorman
drawback
http://www.mostbuying.com/images/201011/goods_img/18421_G_1291000311527.jpg Not to the keyboard stand, but would fit on the instrument and still give you enough angle to see what you're doing. I'm thinking in my case, charts. ____________________________________Rod victoria bc

AnotherScott
Similar to what drawback does, I have often used this one from Satechi, if the board has the space for it... http://www.newlaunches.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/Satechi-R1-Stand.jpg Maybe this is the best place for a shameless plug! Our now not-so-new new video at https://youtu.be/3ZRC3b4p4EI is a 40 minute adaptation of T. S. Eliot's "Prufrock" - check it out! And hopefully I'll have something new here this year. ;-)
Gary75
Yup. Just ordered a quiklok ips11 designed to fit 30mm tube of X-stands. Check yours is 30mm. A lot are. You can also attach it to a two tier setup too.
AnalogGuy1
Cut a 5/8" plywood strip wide enough for your keyboard and long enough to accommodate your keyboard and laptop. Spray with 3M adhesive, cover with speaker cab carpet in a color that matches the rest of your rig. Looks great, travels great.

NewImprov
I don't have an answer, but this brings up a new pet peeve of mine. I work as a sound engineer/stage hand at a local community theater, and we've been noticing an increase in musicians who have their sheet music loaded on an iPad instead of paper. That is totally fine, but it seems that very few players carry any stands for their iPad's, and depend on the venue to provide extra short boom stands just for that purpose. Did a group with 8 cellos recently, and everyone just grabbed a shorty boom while they were setting up, and when we went to mic the rest of the band, we were out of stands. And they were pretty resistant to swapping the mic stands for regular music stands, which we have plenty of, but they "didn't like the look." Whatever. Jeff_D_in_MD
Thanks for the suggestions. The Quiklok ips11 seems like a good option. Gary75
Got the Quiklok IPS11 today. Whilst I'm not using a Quiklok stand, I am using one with a 30mm tubing. Just a heads up to say it doesn't grip on mine great and I'm going to need to do a little adjusting. Also, your going to need to remove any protective case for it to fit. THIS I use the verion for iPhone's etc. that has a 10" flexible arm. I clamp mine to the mic boom that is attached to the top tier of my X stand. Cool thing is that you don't have to remove your device protection to use it. Kurzweil PC3, Hammond SK-1 + Ventilator, Korg Triton. 2 JBL Eon 510's. IGGYK
I know it's been a while since you posted your inquiry but I'm looking for similar solutions. Came across this. It's not cheap but it's a modular system. http://www.shop.tethertools.com/main.sc
