JulianJ
All, I understand the 11 pin leslie system uses a low voltage DC current to switch the speeds. Could anyone tell me what that voltage is? Thank you in advance! Kind Regards Julian
MoodyBluesKeys
Captian Foldback - Leslie connections Near the bottom. The needed voltage is provided by the Leslie, and connecting pin 7 to ground pin 4 switches on fast, connecting pin 8 to ground switches on slow. Also necessary to connect pin 6 to pin 5 to turn on the Leslie. JulianJ
Great, thank you! Presumably the speed switch in the organ is a simple make-break switch? Kind Regards Julian
B3Nut
Yes. Just don't connect pin 7 and pin 8 to control circuit common (pin 6) at the same time, else you'll trigger both motors. Also I'd use pin 6 as the ground point for speed switching, otherwise if you have the Leslie off (pin 5 to 6 disconnected) and the Leslie switch is set to Chorale, the Leslie will power on. Learned that the hard way. ;-) TP --- Todd A.
