Cirklon sequencer or software?

Hey folks, i have a chance to buy a used Cirklon sequencer and it looks like a lot of fun.

Is there a software sequencer that is a better choice?

I am a guitar player so I don't know anything about this, I just want to fool around in my home studio.

Thanks,

Meriah

This would depend on the price. I don't own one, but the Cirklon looks like a very big gun. Numerology for OSX does many of the same things for considerably less money (retail). If I were just fooling around I'd try the software first.

9 Moog things, 3 Roland things, 2 Hammond things and a computer with stuff on it

I didn't realize anybody made hardware sequencers anymore. That thing looks pretty cool. Reminds me of the old analog step sequencers except a lot more powerful. That would be great for somebody who had a mix of Analog (non-MIDI) gear and MIDI gear.
