yorgatron
I do, apparently, since this is my third, after the Duo and the project D6 I got that's waiting for a Castlebar. http://i.imgur.com/4vIT30R.jpg
mate stubb
Ah, a Clavinet II. I owned a couple of these, including that suitcase. I didn't really miss the extra controls of the D6, but the tuning pegs are a pain. You have to be careful not to jam them and break the head off. cleomenesII
Who first thought of using them for funk, etc, rather than classical or whatever was originally intended? Was there one pioneer, or a whole school of thought?

I have a totally mint one tucked away in the closet for safe keeping until I make room to set it up and play it. I might have too much gear. Was there one pioneer, or a whole school of thought? Garth Hudson of The Band usually gets cred for being the first to run it thru a wah pedal..! The Real MC
I think Art Neville of The Meters might have beaten Garth to the punch. Love the Clav, used to own a D6. I put new strings, hammers, and damper yarn on it (a royal PITA). These days I use the XK3 clav (using the secret three fingered power on sequence) and it is pretty authentic. Jim Alfredson
A real Clavinet is the last piece of the puzzle for me. Unfortunately its nearly impossible to find a deal on one. Keep it greazy! B3tles - Soul Jazz THEO - Prog Rock

retrokeys
I had a C model...loved the sound hated the maintenance. Still sort of miss it though but the Electro does a fairly good job of emulation without the hassles.
