JeffLearman
Inspired by Dan's thread asking for 60's tunes. I'm in a soul band that plays the classic 60's and 70's stuff. How about recent music that could be enjoyed by all ages but help to draw the younger crowd? That would still fit? We have 7 piece, 8 members, 3 horns, male & female lead vox. Percussion for when the horn players aren't playing horns, plus the trombonist is a good back vox singer. Not long ago we added Cee Lo Green's Forget You. Perfect fit. Got any more like that? Thanks! timwat
Jeff, Younger than 60's/70's (some recent, some not so recent) - but stuff that either gets a good response from our dance floors or is on our radar to work up: Suit and Tie Locked Out of Heaven California Girls Smooth (we add an extended montuno break) The Way You Make Me Feel P.Y.T. Hope maybe that helps some. Tim ..
Steve Nathan
This is possibly too new, but I recently did horns on 3 or 4 tunes for this kid, and I thought he had something, Might be worth a listen. I particularly liked "If Love's a Game" and "Poison". Josh Harrison Don't rush me. I'm playing as slowly as I can! http://www.stevenathanmusic.com/stevenathanmusic.com/HOME.html https://apple.co/2EGpYXK

To B3
Raphael Saadiq, no horns on some studio versions of the songs, but easy to arrange them on tunes like this: [video:youtube] Things by Amy Whinehouse or Joss Stone might work too, especially for female audience. JJ Grey and Mofro is another favorite of mine. Many tunes to choose, like this: [video:youtube] Lettuce is great too. Mostly instrumental, but good vocal tunes also (band features Neal Evans and Eric Krazno from Soulive): [video:youtube] My drawbars go to eleven. Gear: Roland VR-09, Nord Electro 2 61, Korg CX-3. Mark Zeger
Not really horn driven tunes, but what about arranging "Got To Give It Up" with "Blurred Lines"?

nickd
Amy Winehouse works well: Rehab, Valerie etc Did Aloe Blacc's 'I Need a Dollar' chart in the US? That's another good tune. If you stretch to disco you could do Justin Timberlake's Take Back the Night, or Daft Punk's Get Lucky.
