You know, I looked at the manual thinking I could help over the phone even though I don't own one. I probably could...but I have way too much going on. Needless to say...I verified from the manual in about 20 min that you can do all the things you need to do in your situation. In Live Mode you can do a split with a bass patch assigned to bypass all effects and do mono out output 3 (or 4) to your bass amp, and have all your effected keys parts stereo out L/R to your bose sticks, or QSC's, or whatever you choose.

Acoustic/Electric stringed instruments ranging from 4 to 230 strings, hammered, picked, fingered, slapped, and plucked. Analog and Digital Electronic instruments, reeds, and throat/mouth.

YAAA I'm the sleepin doggie.. got me ! I played the Fantom last night on a relatively soft jazz gig with the split keyboard ( I didn't even bother with the bass into the aux out - output 3 or 4 ) into a Bose L1 model 2 on my right and the beleaguered Eon 15 next to my left and drummer - and I must say, though the Fantom 61 action is not pianistic, and it was a little bit weird for that reason- the dang thing sounded quite good! The bass that I use is John Patitucci hard string bass ( not the precise name for it- there are two of his next to one another a soft and a hard ) and it "works". I would like to edit it though. A tad OT but, anyone serious about getting more work, and playing left hand bass, must understand the Bass lines and bass sound are critical to it.. including the cab/ amp that is perfectly matched as possible. not just any old amp.

I don't understand what it is I am positively responding to in the G6; but the way that the piano, strings, ( strings sound so cool through that Bose ) EP ( I need a better EP or two or three ;-) ) blend in such a way that I need to better understand it. I can always use a better AP too, fine tuning of the sounds already present in the G6. it sounded so well with the stereo Bose Eon deal that it has "cooled my gas" ( repeat that for two weeks and call me in the morning 0_0 ) for the Kronos!

But I need to get much more out of this "ax".

Edit Here's the thing I have always suspected : great STEREO monitoring goes a long way towards making a so so keyboard sound the best.

To that end I once tried two $1000 JBL Monitors on a gig, and was dismayed to find that I was enclosed as in an acoustical egg shell.. where I mainly heard myself but no one else heard my stereo image, and it basically was a failure. That is why Bose L1 is helping. Not only do I hear it but everyone else in the room hears what I hear.. ah ha!

You,re comments about LH bass are interesting. I followed your other thread looking for the holy grail of bass patches, and it made me take a trip down memory lane, as far as "that" bass sound.

Before I went to keys, I played a 1971 Fender Precision through a 2-15 Fender Bassman setup, typical 70s genre music, and I thought it sounded good.

Fast forward to the 80s and different bands, I wind up in a "country/byrds/soft pop" band playing LH bass/RH keys from a 360 systems bass module into some Frankenstein Peavey PA head home brew 15/horn cab. Me and the band thought it sounded good./The crowd danced and loved he music

Here were are in 2013 looking for Nirvana, I am not saying your not justified in your fine tuning and quest, your ears, and to a lesser degree, your band mates are the mark.

There has to be, somewhere, a happy medium to satisfy everybody 50 some percent.

I used stereo monitoring for a while both with an amp and IEM, and YES it sounds luscious, it it a nice personal space.

I have now moved to a mono EV monitor solution and it works for me and the band.

Now to veer off on another post, I have had little or no stage monitors at venues because the sound company didnt give a rats arse because we werent the headliner, BUT I made do.

Was it fun? no, but I did what I had to do,only becasue I didnt have control.

All of this to say I wish you luck with dialing in everything right and obtaining the right equipment and patches, and you may do so. Someone out here probably has the same rig setup as you and can dial you in!

In the meantime, have fun, make music, enjoy the high from your music and band mates and the crowd, and keep us posted!!

My sound last night went against conventional wisdom.. though I wish I could afford TWO Bose towers... using one plus the EON 15" full range and a nice round bass.. really sounded nicely with the not well thought of ( by me ) Fantom G6. I had a really musical night.. yes!

Thank you

Any Sound Designer out there? This is a paying situation. I need to modify sounds I have. So there are two purposes- Purchase sounds, and learn how to modify sounds. No one?
