Q for any Roland A70 experts..

I have created a user patch map, but I cannot get it to load? I have tried the E02 section to select User 1, but it will not display. I keep getting the VE-RD1 default map (the VE card is NOT installed by the way - I have it, but don't use it)

Thanks

I assume you created the patch map using the E03 page? Did you assigned the map to an *external* zone using E02? It sounds like you might be selecting the internal zones, which would choose the VE-RD1 map by default (if memory serves).

Yeah thanks wd8 - it was created as per 03, but I should have clarified - I can see the map when External is selected, however the map won't show when the INT/EXT buttons are off.

Is there a way to have ones personal user map over-ride the default display instead of ONLY just when using the EXT button?

That I don't know.

I'll check the manual when I get home from work, and try it on mine to see if I get the same results, and will report back tomorrow morning.

Thanks - much appreciated :) I am also trying the 'lil chips map creator on the PC but cannot get the sysex data over to the A70 - I can get the reverse happening, as in, a sysex dump FROM the A70, but yeah, not the other way...so if I can prevail upon your experience again do you any ideas on what I am perhaps not doing here?
