Tomkeen
So, there's a H&K Rotosphere mark II for sale locally. After reading some reviews online and watching a few youtube clips, I think that this would be an improvement over the leslie sim in my Kurzweil PC3. Then again, it's pretty old technology.. What I'd like to know is if it really is that much better than the sim in my PC3, and possibly how it compares to say, a Ventilator and a Strymon Lex. Thanks in advance
mate stubb
Not even close to a vent. Analogaddict
Don't get it. I tried one recently with a (new) CX3. It doesn't fare well compared to the Vent.
Tonysounds
Thumbs down. Hitting "Play" does NOT constitute live performance. -Me.
Delaware Dave
What attempts have you made to tweak the double leslie in the PC3? If tweaked it will sound way better than what you hear "out of the box" and better than the H&K (but it still won't be Vent quality). 57 Hammond B3; 69 Hammond L100P; 68 Leslie 122; Kurzweil PC3; M-Audio Code 61; Voce V5+; Neo Vent; EV ELX112P; GSI Gemini & Burn Delaware Dave Exit 93 Band
Tomkeen
Thanks guys. You've made it an easy decision . Dave: I've tried to tweak the PC3 sim several times, and while it's pretty good, I'm still looking for something better. Hammond is important in my current band and I don't have the space or money for a clone at the time. I guess I'll wait and see what the new Vent has to offer and if people are going to sell their original Vents dirt cheap .
