My new cab I just got today is Marshall 1960 BV 4x12 and I can use in mono on 4 or 16 ohm, my head have the 3 setting 16,8 and 4 ohm. for this is not a problem. but what is the best set to 4 ohm or 16 ohm can some one can give more info on this thanks sorry for my english i'm a french Canadien fender 65 Twin Reverb reissue Fender Stratocaster 1999 MIA Fender Stratocaster 2013 MIA Godin Artisan ST-5 Godin LG Signature Seagull S6 Yes I love Godin guitar Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
SEHpicker Posted February 21, 2013 Share Posted February 21, 2013 Don't do anything until you know what the impedence is for the speakers. And then set the swithch on the amp accordingly. You can damage the amp if you mismatch the inputs/outputs. There are people that know a lot more about this than I do but I wanted to warn you not to experiment!!! Terrell Posted February 25, 2013 Share Posted February 25, 2013 A larger resistance is usually considered better for the amplifier...
