I once got an article published on a website called Mel Bay Bass Sessions, run by the Mel Bay publishing company.

You could try there. If I remember correctly, they gave me $50.

You could also just post it on your own website and then send links all over the place.

I'm a published writer so it's not like I'm looking to sell anything. My website is about my ghostwriting and an article about bass would seem out of place. It's just that bass is my hobby and i want to have it up to use as a reference to send fellow musicians. I figured here was a good place.

Well, if it is about bass and bass players, it wouldn't be off topic. Heck, there is a sticky topic at the top of the list for posting music for honest feedback, which was done to consolidate things and minimize the "jerk factor".

If hosting the article is an issue, there are many free ways to do that. You can also host it on your own site without a link anywhere, and just give the direct URL to the bass minded. As long the article isn't too inflammatory and reasonable in length, I don't think too many people would mind a text version here. This is a decent place populated by mostly decent people, and we try to keep it that way. If things are kept fairly family friendly (I censor myself a lot), and you're not trying to sell anything (there's a classified link above too), you'll probably be treated well.

Stick around, there's no reason any of your fellow ghost writers need to know about anything.

If you think my playing is bad, you should hear me sing!

nice article, jeremy.

i never considered the linear pattern to the placement of notes on the neck (5th fret on G, 10th on D, 15th on A, 20th on E...well logarithmic placement...but you know what i mean)

I never really think about fret numbers like that, but i wonder if it will be helpful for me in my playing.
