Oh man, we were big fans of Ian Moore back in the day. But, then some weird things happened.

Some started calling him "the next SRV." Others supposedly told him "you can't be a great songwriter AND a guitar hero." To the first, he rebelled, and to the second, he focused on songwriting and started claiming that he hardly had any solos on his first album. Then, his band broke up. He started going in other directions that I wasn't too crazy about. He still had his moments, but it felt forced to me. Live, he would take his popular songs and rearrange them for the sake of it.

Recently, he's released the third album that he recorded with the original band and the label balked at, and toured a little with them, too. We didn't get the album yet, we still might, and missed the few reunion dates.

But, we did see him a bunch of times with that original band and it rocked.

The first 2 albums were great then I don't know what happened. He started sounding like he wanted to play Seattle grunge meets Americana folk or something.

I liked some elements of some later albums, but he was clearly making an effort to go into another direction.

What Great stuff! , especially with the brilliant keyboardist cutting through the mix good.

Now and then I love listening to President Joe tell it like it is over this beautiful soundtrack -"Stranded" by 'Subheim' >

I am still searching for this extended mix by Subheim.

Brett.
