Franz Schiller
Why won't they make it multi-timbral?
Sam Mullins
Why won't they make it multi-timbral? I'm guessing it's a CPU performance issue. I think it's a bigger deal to do multi-timbrality on a modeled instrument than on a sample-based instrument. Franz Schiller
I would prefer even just two or three channel multi-timbrality to a four track recorder. But that's just me. I hate being one of those guys who complains every time an improvement is made. However, I still concede that Animoog is awesome and I look forward to playing it. Tusker
I think it's a bigger deal to do multi-timbrality on a modeled instrument than on a sample-based instrument. I agree. I think they focused on getting the best possible tone, given the computational power. The four track is simply streaming samples, so it's not detracting from the synthesis computation. At least, that's my read of it.
