Dlrshort
Of those of you who use the SK presets and the piano and extra voices, have you noticed how they all seem tp have been recorded at different levels? So that when you shift between voices when playing you have to many times either crank down or up the master volume on the keyboard on the fly. The patch 'some lovin' will blow your amp out if you're not careful. It's hard to believe that HS can't fix this.
JMcS
I don't have access to my SK-1 now so I can't check but IIRC, each patch has the volume for the EV it contains saved to what they considered a normal volume for that voice compared to the organ in that patch. The EV volume knob will adjust that volume without changing the organ volume. I think after you adjust the EV volume to what you want you can then re-save the patch. tompass
Important to test the balance of the EV's in live situation. Once you get an acceptable balance, in my case volume of EV on upper manual vs volume of organ on bottom manual, save the patch. Can always make incremental adjustments if necessary. I tried doing it at home with earphones and was not even close to where they had to be eventually set.
