Rockhouse
Some solid choices, and I'd never heard of a Teenage Engineering OP-1 before. Gonna go look it up on youtube. Synthoid
I'd never heard of a Teenage Engineering OP-1 before. Interesting piece of gear. It's considered a toy by some, but I'll reserve judgment until I can see & play one. Seems rather overpriced though. When an eel hits your eye like a big pizza pie, that's a Moray. Rockhouse
The videos look interesting. The pro side seems to be portability while the con side seems to be iffy tones. The synth engine seems like a reasonable platform, but those drums are worthless. Also, 4 tracks with a six minute limit? It's a sketchboard. Good for frequent flyers perhaps. Seannn
Cool article! The OP-1 looks cool, and seems to have, for lack of a better term, "gyroscopic-sensitivity" (in any case, you turn the synth a certain way and the sound changes). A toy, maybe, but a damn expensive one! I could be convinced to buy a Monotron for $50, but not something like this for $849! ~ Sean Juno-60, Juno-G, MicroBrute, MS-20 Mini, PX-5S, R3, etc.
