i found my V spot

Guitarzan

Recommended Posts

NGD, i am the proud owner of a limited edition (120 pieces) Epiphone negative vee.

mahogany neck and body maple fretboard with black dots and black binding. black hardware and pick guard ..alnico pickups in bright white.

the "negative" is referring to the look of a negative.

light as a feather and the maple fret board is to die for. i have always loved Vees but never warmed up to the rosewood boards on them. as it sits it only needs a truss rod tweak to add a hair of relief.

i call it Spot

pics will come later

Ever since I saw Leslie West (30 yrs ago) playing the crap out of a V I've wanted one. Just never found the right one. This post inspires me to start my search again.

Nice score Zan.

Whew! When you said "negative V", I thought you meant one of those ridiculous reversed orwhatever they call it things with the body stuck on bass-ackwards. I do most abjectly apologize for even thinking you'd ever get one of those.

Always remember that you are unique. Just like everyone else.

I had that same frightening thought. So relieved.

i had a super cheap Hondo v when i was starting out, it sucked but i still loved the feel and balance.

i have wanted another v for a long time. there is something very natural feeling about how it sits against me. my buddy said it is like a hug from God. and it sounds awesome of course.

i apologize for the confusion. i wouldn't touch a reverse F/N Vee with a 10 ft pole. :D

Is that 2volumes and 1master tone?...2volumes and a push/pull 2circut tone knob would be cool...I would run it with a 90degree cord so it doesn't have to stick straight out of the guitar...glad you found your Vspot... :thu:
Take care, Larryz
