StevieB - THANK YOU for hosting that and bringing your band along. This has made my day! Thanks again, Sue! SK
I'll be playing in Toronto in a little over a month - Hey Kevin, have fun while you're there, then you can head out to play Timmins (just a 500 mile detour.) http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y170/gangsu/kc_hang_10.jpg As weird as I look in this photo, it's a classic! Thanks for posting it, Sue - brings it all back. I played out of town the night before and was fried (should have worn the paper bag over my head.) "Fate" threw ProfD and me into a sudden duo on "Night In Tunesia." In the pic, the Professor looks like he's commandeering a Battlestarship to take me out. The "fly away" thumb action was my signal to take the head out (the song, not me.) Fun playing with the Prof - he lays down a mean groove. ("wheels turning", eh?) allan_evett
Just picked this up as I'm enroute to Chicago/NW IN to visit family. Awesome thread... Welcome back, Sue ! Hey Dan, Guess I"m always losing my way and wandering off... Glad you like the pics. I just put in another request for some audio, I'll post something as soon as I can. I remember getting my hair in a knot over Ms Twain and autotune when I first joined this forum. I'd never heard of "autotune". Like I should even care! Hope everything's good with you! "........! ProfD
I'm glad Sue and Timmins had a chance to host SK who is the man as a muso and person a great time in doing so. I didn't expect for this thread to be grounds for those MAKCFH pics resurfacing. I need to call my lawyer. PD "The greatest thing you'll ever learn, is just to love and be loved in return."--E. SK
Hey, what are the odds of arranging another Richmond Meetup? Maybe early summer? (wheels turning here..) Why not? Anyone else? I'm cool with it... maybe around the end of June, first part of July? After Canada, I'm up for the arduous 5 minute drive to Legends Brewery again. ITGITC
I'm in! I just talked with ProfD. He's in. I think I could get some of the guys around here to give it some serious consideration. BluesKeys would definitely go - if we could get him to come up for air! (Girlfriends, don'tchaknow?) LearJeff - I'll bet he'll want to go! Does StevieB still have contacts at Legend Brewing Company? Would Gangsu really make the trip? What dates in June should be considered? SK
Tom, sounds like fun. http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y170/gangsu/kc_hang_15.jpg Maybe the starting point would be the member mug shots in this lineup (StevieB, Noah, Eric, Markyboard, et al) I may be leaving the area this summer. This could be the last MAKCFH (sp?) I make... so this is cool. Should this be a new thread? (Guess we'll find out.) gangsu
I'm in! I'm definitely making the trip! Wow, Tom It will be amazing to finally meet you! Hey, if Legends Brewery doesn't work out, SK tells me that he has a gig on July 5th at a cool place called Wabi-Sabi in Petersburg, about 15 miles south of Richmond. That sounds like a party too. ProfD, learjeff, blueskeys, et al... let's make it happen. Cheers! "........! Try to make It..REAL! compared to what? ! ! ! " - BOPBEEPER
ITGITC
Nice! I wonder if StevieB can help us pull this together? And where is ERIC? I haven't seen him around here lately.
