i want to rebuild the head cab for my Lifco amp model 1000 i show you 1 month ago. is just because. first the wood still smell the cigarette smoke and i hate that i try everything. but no succes. i heard i need to use birch plywood 3/4 inch but that heavy for a head cab. for those they saw the pic of my Lifco amp just the 3 power supply inside are heavy. my head cab will be almost 50 pound. can i use a lighter wood or the birch is the best one for a head cab

sorry for my english i'm a french Canadien

One thing I found fixed the awful odor of a dead mouse that had expired in the cable trough inside a studio wall. I inserted a tiny plastic tube into the conduit, up to the point of the 'event' & blew a mouthful of whisky into it. Problem solved, & has been odor free for the last 12 years of studio use.

+1 on using a mouthful of whisky to solve a problem or two now and then...LOL... :D

The race of people who wear kilts got that much absolutely right. I've found many uses around the house for whisky & keep searching for more all the time.
