JpScoey
As a keyboardist I mainly reside on Keyboard Corner, but am posting here on behalf of my bassist, who's computer is f**ked! After succesfully completing a neck repair on his bass, he's decided to look into more 'technical' stuff - like straightening twisted necks/re-fretting etc. Can anyone recommend any good books/sources that provide this sort of info? Thanks in advance. John. some stuff on myspace Nord: StageEX-88, Electro2-73, Hammond: XK-1, Yamaha: XS7 Korg: M3-73 EXpanded, M50-88, X50, Roland: Juno D, Kurzweil: K2000vp. Caevan O’Shite
Books? I can HIGHLY recommend the Guitar Player Repair Guide and How To Make Your Electric Guitar Play Great!, both by Dan Erlewine. The Guitar Player Repair Guide even comes with a nifty set of plastic concave and convex radius-gauges inside the back-cover; I use mine all the time. The Stewart-MacDonald 'site has a lot of free information on it, as well as being a source for a lot of books, videos, blueprints, etc. Of course, they also carry a lot of tools, supplies, and parts. Here's a related thread, as well.
