In the 70's I got to play many War songs. Always enjoyed playing the R&B, Funk & Soul music of that era. It was a fun period to be a bass player and I played six to seven days a week back then. They had songs with nice vocal harmonies too like All Day Music.

A couple not yet mentioned yet I use to play were Nappy Head & Low Rider. As far as great dance tunes and already mentioned here were Cisco Kid & Slipping Into Darkness.
