why does it have to be silver mica? what are you gonna do with it?

 

i'd need to know before i could advise, but if you're looking for tone, ceramic disc caps have a far more vintage tone, and silver mica can sound TOO hi-fi...depends on your application.

bro, you DON'T want a silver mica cap in there, that's a bright switch hard wired on. if it's too bright, just clip the sucker outta there. done.

no problem my friend. that cap's whole purpose is to bleed treble thru...over the years, the value of the cap has probably drifted way off spec, resulting in the excessive treble you've reported.

if you remove it and decide it's too dark, try a plain old ceramic disc in there, any value from about 40 to 1000 pf will work, the bigger the number, the more treble will bleed thru.

pas de problème mon ami. objet même de ce plafond est de saigner les aigus travers ... au fil des ans, la valeur de la PAC a probablement dérivé façon hors spécifications, ce qui entraîne des aigus dans le excessive que vous avez signalé.

si vous l'enlever et de décider que c'est trop sombre, essayer une plaine ancien disque en céramique il, toute valeur d'environ 40 à 1000 pF travaillera, plus le nombre, les aigus plus va saigner à travers.
