lowerhodes
I guy I don't know just approached me while I was setting up for a gig tonight and after a little music related conversation he mentioned an item he is willing to sell for a good price and which I am very interested in. In this instance a "bill of sale" probably isn't worth the paper it's written on but, of course, I worry that it's stolen. He seems like an OK guy but you never know. Any advice? Michael Wright
I used to have this happen once in a while. Always got a funny feeling about it. Personally I stayed away from buying in those situations. RedKey
As a general rule, I don't buy anything from anyone unless I initiate the contact. So, a guy you don't know is willing to... and you're worried... sounds like your gut feeling is working. Stay away.
