stillplaying
I'm worried. Hope he calms down enough to get the red suit on and go to his work on the 24th. I'm the piano player "off of" Borrowed Books.

MonksDream
If he spent half the energy practising as he did expressing his frustration he'd probably nail the part. And although I've been plenty frustrated, at times daily, I've never been THAT frustrated! We're talking musical frustration, right? Because...oh, never mind. Instrumentation is meaningless - a song either stands on its own merit, or it requires bells and whistles to cover its lack of adequacy, much less quality. - kanker

Aidan
I think it's a "character" - the guy has a Bandcamp page advertising his stuff. I thought it pretty funny, though wife not at all as it reminded her strongly of her ex and his temper tantrums. Aidan
Actually, I just looked at the Bandcamp page and changed my mind about whether it's for real. Not slick enough to not be, I'd say. Dr Aid's diagnosis: Not enough smacked bottoms as a child, possibly beyond help now. CEB
You never know. This guy may play like Tommy Tedesco but did the video as a joke for his buddies. Tournament Chess used to frustrate me. That game will drive you crazy. "It doesn't have to be difficult to be cool" - Mitch Towne "A great musician can bring tears to your eyes!!! Josh Paxton
I heard a story about a very good pro singer, a friend of a friend, who would go to the Chinese restaurant near his house on Mondays for Karaoke night, and butcher "Every Breath You Take" as badly as he could, just for his own amusement. Then word got around and other musos in his town started coming to the place to see him do it. The night my friend went, a waitress stormed out from the back in the middle of the song, and absolutely went off on him for being such a horrible singer and singing the same song over and over. She was so incensed that she continued to berate him for being too fat, having no girlfriend, and being lonely. In other words, apparently the joke worked. Bridog6996
I briefly went and listened to a bit of this guy's music on his Facebook page. If this wasn't staged, I find it a little hard to believe he would post these videos on his own page. Probably an attempt at viral publicity if I had to guess. Plus, if he was really that psycho, he'd have to be buying guitars by the six pack. Unfortunately, while it's very possibly the whole temper tantrum thing is a put-on, based on what I heard I very much doubt he's a "secret genius" unless he's really committed to the role. orangefunk
To be honest I don't find this as crazy as some of you guys are purporting... its really fairly standard working class northern english behaviour I have come across in lots of my old bands.... I see him a loveable rogue... certainly no crazy monster... Nice to see on youtube though! Reminds me of many moments...
