bhodaway10
Yesterday, when I plugged my iphone in to sync with my computer, itunes installed garageband onto my iphone 4s. I've always used it on my wife's ipad 2 but I didn't know they released it for the iphone. I did a quick google search and came across this article : GarageBand Now Available for iPhone and iPod touch Users It looks like as of Nov. 1st it works for the iphone. Luckily, I have the camera connector kit which also has a usb connection. It's worked with the Ipad 2 -> Privia keyboards for instance. I can't wait to try it!! Anybody else using the iphone/garageband as a sound module? www.brianho.net http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/brianho www.youtube.com/brianhojazz
kanker.
I installed it nearly a month ago although I haven't gotten a MIDI interface for my iPhone to try it out, and the Akai Synthstation 25 I got for my iPhone doesn't work with my iPhone for some reason (can't expect too much for $50 I suppose) A ROMpler is just a polyphonic turntable. bhodaway10
I did a search for garageband and only came up with the garageband for the ipad topic. I guess I should have looked in the posts. I'll post back and let you guys know if it works w/ my friend's Privia and the dock connector. www.brianho.net http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/brianho www.youtube.com/brianhojazz
AnotherScott
Luckily, I have the camera connector kit which also has a usb connection. It's worked with the Ipad 2 -> Privia keyboards for instance. I can't wait to try it!! Unless Apple's changed something, the camera kit only works on iPads. But there are now MIDI interfaces available for iPhone... iRig MIDI from IK Multimedia and Yamaha I-MX1. The iRig has the advantage of still being able to keep a charger plugged in, as well as adding a MIDI Thru port. I wonder if anyone has tried either of these yet with GarageBand on an iPhone/Touch. Maybe this is the best place for a shameless plug! Our now not-so-new new video at https://youtu.be/3ZRC3b4p4EI is a 40 minute adaptation of T. S. Eliot's "Prufrock" - check it out! And hopefully I'll have something new here this year. ;-)

HAMEGZ
Ok, guys which should I get the $4.99 or the MPV garageband 11 101 which is $9.99 Also since I am still a pc guy will I be able to put tracks from my Sonar DAW into garageband on my phone? I think MPV garageband 11 101 is a video tutorial not the app, is that what your looking for? You can import audio tracks as files from Sonar into GB Import an audio file: On your computer, add the audio files you want to import to the GarageBand File Sharing area in iTunes. In GarageBand on your iPad, tap the View button View button to open Tracks view. Tap the Loop Browser button Loop Browser button in the control bar, then tap Audio Files. To preview an audio file, tap it in the list. You can control the preview volume with the slider at the bottom of the list. Drag an audio file from the list to Tracks view. Align the left edge of the file with the bar or beat (on the ruler) where you want it to start playing. As far as the Camera Kit and A Privia PX3, the Casio is class compliant so it should work. I have used that combination with some other music apps on iphone 3g.
