Wasder Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 Hello! We are an instrumental post-hardcore band from Moscow, Russia. Here's a 5-track EP we recorded live in a studio in April, 2012: http://jaunt.bandcamp.com/. We'd appreciate if you give it a listen and tell us what you think.
A McLeod III Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 .......I've been working on for a minute. The song is called "Tara's Rain" and I'd like you guys to check it out. Strange thing about the sound quality.... .....I recorded this on a 2488 Tascam then exported to Protools to clean it up. Thought I got a pretty good mix. However, when creating the simple vid (using DVD SlideShow) and uploading it to YouTube, my "great mix" developed this really edgy effect on the top end like some items were recorded too hot. The original doesn't sound like that. For those of you who have uploaded to You Tube, have you ever encountered this? Tara's Rain (Wet as.........) @ You Tube "Life Is Just A Game And They're Many Ways To Play...All You Do Is Choose." SC 1976 Fantom, XP 80, DX7 IIFD w/"E", Ensoniq ESQ 1, Roland Alpha Juno 2, Roland S 10, Korg Triton LE with EXB, GEM RP2
Ouizel Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 Nice tune, but it does sound hot. **Standard Disclaimer** Ya gotta watch da Ouizel, as he often posts complete and utter BS. In this case however, He just might be right. Eagles may soar, but Ouizels don't get sucked into jet engines.
picker Posted July 25, 2012 Posted July 25, 2012 Sweet. Always remember that you are unique. Just like everyone else.
A McLeod III Posted July 26, 2012 Posted July 26, 2012 Really don't know what caused that unless it was a case of ear fatigue. Went back and looked at the mix levels-nothing really stood out. Gonna go back and overdub the guitar parts and see if that helps. I hate that because i had finally got a nice, loose natural flow going on the improv......man! rimrim Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Hi, I'm new... it's good to know this forums This is my first try after 1 year of not playing guitar... , I've learned a lot from this piece in terms of theory, specially phrygian mode and harmonic minor scale... I actually didn't use any hardware guitar amp, effects,... just my guitar plugging into a sound interface and then to the computer softwares, that's it. any suggestions on my playing would be appreciated! cheers.

mindcage Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Hello All! I have a new CD project in the works with Producer Michael Wagener. It is a steampunk progmetal concept album. My influences on guitar are Schenker, Wolf Hoffmann, Uli Roth, and Marty Friedman.. so you can imagine the sound of that colliding with Iron Maiden, Rush, Queensryche, Fates Warning... then you have an idea! There is a short clip of me cutting harmony solos in here: If you like what you hear, then please share it around or help us with a pledge. Enjoy, Dietrick Hardwick
Blank731 Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Hey guys. I've been uploading some basic guitar tutorial videos on youtube for about 6 months, just uploaded a new one on 12 bar blues stuff. Have a look! I'm interested in some constructive criticism as far as how concise I'm being and how well you think beginners will take to it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NsBNLhEvBfE&feature=plcp
