Tom Capasso
"Small Bear" - he's got a whole book series! http://cc.pbsstatic.com/l/95/9595/9780679889595.jpghttp://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ZlmL96nMAa4/TNL6wVlgDUI/AAAAAAAACKY/cNIdKB02mTg/s1600/Berenstain+Bears.gif We read these books to our kids, but Seuss (and others) received better reviews. The Bear Jew
I think we have the makings of a pretty good international band sometime in the next few years. My folks bought Xavier a box full of wooden instruments for his birthday--xylophone, tambourines, woodblock, recorder, wooden kazoo, harmonica, etc. We spent all night after dinner "jamming" until bedtime. This morning, the first thing the boy wanted to do (after a cup of milk) was see his instruments. As soon as he sat down with the woodblock and recorder, he looked at me and said, "You wanna play instruments and music with me, Daddy? Please?" Like he really had to ask. My favorite part of playing music with Xavier is when he smiles and says, "Good job, Daddy!" I wish more of the musicians I meet would be so complimentary and excited about playing. \m/ Erik "To fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists of breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting." --Sun Tzu

thabottomend
Happy Birthday to the Cub Jew. Many happy returns. Raise him right, Erik. You don't want him to turn out to be a............. *shudder*.......... drummer........... Do not be deceived by, nor take lightly, this particular bit of musicianship one simply describes as "bass". - Lowell George "The music moves me, it just moves me ugly." William H. The Bear Jew
I think it might be too late for him to be anything but a musician of some sort. We can't keep his hands off of any instrument he encounters. He really loves drums and drumming, and he went crazy when we took him to a local outdoor festival--he liked War a lot, and the African drummers had him dancing around, smiling and laughing his little butt off. \m/ Erik "To fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists of breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting." --Sun Tzu
