New Kronos Sound Libraries

Just got this from Korg (emphasis mine):

KRONOS Sound Libraries

Announcing new custom Sound Libraries for the Korg Kronos, designed to take each of the nine sound engines to unheard-of heights.

The Kronos Sound Libraries are volumes of additional sounds created specifically for the next-generation Kronos Music Workstation; the single instrument that brings together nine sound engines ranging from the past to the future.

Korg will be offering two types of Kronos Sound Libraries. The EXs Expansion Sample Series*1 take advantage of Kronos' built-in SSD, providing large amounts of PCM data. The KRS Professional Sound Series were created by pro musicians and programmers who are intimately familiar with each of the Kronos sound engines. These libraries contain skillfully crafted programs, combinations, and drum patterns with infectious grooves*2, all designed to maximize the nine sound engines that power the Kronos.

The Kronos Sound Libraries will be available worldwide for download purchase at Korg.com, with localized language support for different countries.

The first releases will appear in October.

Ok I want one.

Going to get as close as I'm likely to tomorrow. Picking up another external power supply for my single keyboard rig (not a Kronos - a Juno Stage).

Kennys Music in Dundee has all three sizes of the Kronos on their web page and I'm hoping in the shop as they're just "taking orders" for the Jupiter 80.

I'll brush past them nonchanantly on my way in and out while they scream "play me, buy me, the kids can eat next year."

Might get a Cajon. We could do with more seats in the front room.

I'm the piano player "off of" Borrowed Books.

From what I heard, the prices for EXs Expansion Series will be $249 and the KRS will be about $59.

And I haven't even played a Kronos yet.

:(

weren't you disinterested in purchasing the K because of ' build quality ' ?

Why fit in, when you were born to stand out ?

Didn't say I was going to buy one, I'd just like to see and hear what the hoopla is all about.

I recall that you stated you would not consider buying one this year, due

to the ' hoopla ' about build quality.

Sort of like all your posts about the data wheel, and so on.

Correct ?

Thing is... that happened back in June.

Time to let it go. I did.
