Mats Nermark
Hi, I just want to add some detuning to some clean electric guitars. I would like to know if there are any good VST plug-ins for this. Live I use either the tc g-force and that is the sort of sound I'm looking for. Any suggestions appreciated!! Thanks! Anderton
Prosoniq has a really good pitch shifter, but I think it's standalone. You would need to process the file then bring it back in to your project. What host are you using? Doesn't it have a pitch shifter built in? Hendmik
I've been doing it offline in Wavelab. The Waves Platinum pitch shifter is worthless. The note tracking is pathetic (maybe I'm doing it wrong?!?). Wavelab's internal engine is clean and great sounding. But I'd also love to do it as good, but real time. Anyone? I use Cubase SX 2.0 and I have not been able to find a real time pitch shifter. Unless they have one and call it some crazy name? Alndln
The Free MDA plugin pack contains a plugin called Detune(pitch shifter).I never tried it and don't know how good it is but the download is worth it for the Sub Synth plugin anyway. www.mda-vst.com/effects.htm To me they're all no good except possibly Autotune or Celemony Melodyne www.celemony.com/melodyne/ which works as a program or Vst plugin for Mac/Pc. bond1
I just tried the demo of Waves new Transform bundle. It has a sweet pitch shifter that works in real time or offline. Of course, its like 700 bucks or something like that.
Phil B
GRM Tools has a couple of good ones that I'm sure could handle it: http://www.grmtools.org/quicktour/vstqtst/shift.html http://www.grmtools.org/quicktour/vstqtclassic/pitchaccum.html
