nickd
Sorry if this has been covered before - I couldn't find a relevant topic. I currently have a Roland Fantom Xa and a master keyboard. I'm planning to replace these with a Kurzweil SP4-8 or Yamaha MOX8. My question is: is there a small-format sampler I could use to MIDI up for any sounds I find I'm missing? Would need to play back multi-samples e.g. mellotron, Taurus. I know there's lots of rack samplers that could be OK, but ideally I want something smaller. So far all I can think of is the Waldorf Blofeld, which feels a bit like overkill. I also looked at the Yamaha SU-10 but I don't think it's up to the job (memory/polyphony). Anything else that could work? I'd just need a few samples, so old models without much memory would be fine. Thanks
AnotherScott
Maybe an SM Pro Audio V-Machine? Maybe this is the best place for a shameless plug! Our now not-so-new new video at https://youtu.be/3ZRC3b4p4EI is a 40 minute adaptation of T. S. Eliot's "Prufrock" - check it out! And hopefully I'll have something new here this year. ;-)
nickd
Maybe an SM Pro Audio V-Machine? That's a good idea - I'd not thought of that. And means I can run VB3 on it as well as a bonus...
