Ross Brown
We have had about 6 rehearsals with the new band that have been bass, drums and vocals only due to guitard being out of town. I was not wild about the idea but I was less wild about not rehearsing. This is a great tool! It is amazing to my simple self that this is as productive as it is. We have the bones of a lot of songs down tight. Makes me really pay attention to what I am doing on bass. We have a couple of songs that are actually good enough to play as is.... thought about doing them at an open mic just for fun. Does anyone else here rehearse like this? I recommend it. That said, I am really, really ready for the guitard to get back. Russkull
We've done this before at worship practice. As you said, it's better than not rehearsing. It does make me pay more attention to what I'm playing, but I also found I wind up overplaying to try and fill the space - stuff I would never attempt normally. It's cool for one or two songs but after that... "Of all the world's bassists, I'm one of them!" - Lug
