ewhirsh
http://www.spectrasonics.net/contest/index.php It's real because it got shown at NAMM and because it is part of a Moog tribute. But the product name? This is what I warmly imagine: Eric Persing: Alright guys, this thing that I've just built is the keyboardist's equivalent of ordering a loaded Banana Split from Cold Stone Creamery. I think it is the ultimate amalgamation of timeless analog nostalgia and cutting-edge Apple geekery. Usually we give our products evocative names like "Omnisphere" or "Trillian" but for some reason I want to go back to my Roland roots and come up with a weird sequence of letters and numbers. What should we call this thing? Engineer Number 1: uhhh, what about O M G? huhuh. huhuh. [beavis and butthead laugh] Engineer Number 2: haha, no no, what about O M G - 1 !?? Eric Persing: Oh my, look at the time, its 5pm and I gotta go pick up the kids. Ok, OMG-1 it is. Engineer Number 1: totes awesome. Engineer Number 2: totes. When we come out with the incremental upgrade, we should call it the OMFG. Huhuhuhh. Engineer Number 1: huhhuh huhuhahuha. Tonysounds
I think OMG is quite appropriate for that beast. Hitting "Play" does NOT constitute live performance. -Me.
Dana.
I think OMG is quite appropriate for that beast. +1 Aside: Who else thinks Cold Stone is terrible and way overpriced?
RedKey
I love Engineer Number 2's upgrade idea. I saw this up close at NAMM. It could have been OMFG from the start.
