Hi all,

I know some of you have been waiting for the release of the new book 'The Bass Player's Guide to Scales & Modes', so I'm pleased to announce that it is on sale now from Bassline Publishing (www.basslinepublishing.com). The book features a highly musical method for learning the essential scales and modes - a method that I have been using in my own teaching for many years with great success. You can read more about the content of the book here:

The accompanying audio files will be available on the website later in the week. Just need to finish mixing them...!

In other news, a whole host of new books is planned for the coming year. I'm really excited to announce 'Jamiroquai Bass Guitar Transcriptions', which will be on sale in the summer. This book will contain transcriptions for the best tracks from the band's first two albums, Emergency on Planet Earth and Return of the Space Cowboy. I'm currently working on this one, and having a blast doing the transcriptions of Stuart Zender's great basslines! You can read more about this book and check out the cover art here:

I'm also pleased to announce the second book in the Bass Essentials series, 'The Bass Player's Guide to Sight Reading'. I've been working on this book off-and-on for a while in response to student complaints at the lack of a good sight reading book for bass players. It's in it's early stages at the moment, but I'm aiming to get this one released in time for Christmas.

Other books in the pipeline include a Zander Zon transcription book. As many of you know, Zander is one of the most gifted solo bassists to have emerged in recent years and his music is some of the finest I have heard for the bass guitar. If you can't wait to get your hands on this one, a transcription of Zander's composition is available in my book Solo Arrangements for Electric Bass, which you can check out here:

Finally, I'm pleased to announce that Bassline Publishing is now stocking CD's by several great bass players. We have albums by Zander Zon and Aram Bedrosian in stock and will be adding the new Stu Hamm album to the site in the next couple of weeks.

Looking forward to seeing you all at the London Bass Guitar Show! I'll be there on the Manson's Guitars stand, representing Zon basses. I'll have copies of all of my books with me, available at discounted prices.

Best wishes,

Stuart

Hi,

You can order them directly from me off of the Bassline Publishing website. Bassbooks.com carry some of the books I publish but not all, and they do not have any copies of the new book at the moment. I'm not sure how much they charge for my books.

Hope that helps,

Stuart
