Tenstrum Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Music so bad, that it's awesome! (in a horrific way) And it can be found here: http://www.turquoisejeep.com/Turquoise_Jeep_Records/Videos.html I have become partial to Slick Mahony. Tenstrum "Paranoid? Probably. But just because you're paranoid doesn't mean there isn't an invisible demon about to eat your face." Harry Dresden, Storm Front
jcadmus Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Truly awful. But it's still no Vinyl Cowtown. [video:youtube] "Tours widely in the southwestern tip of Kentucky"
Russkull Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Every once in a while, I feel smarter than the average idiot. This is one of those times. "The finaaaalll...oouhoughhh...." "Of all the world's bassists, I'm one of them!" - Lug
b5pilot Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 I sure hope this was a spoof song. If this guy is serious I'm gonna grab my belt. Lydian mode? The only mode I know has the words "pie ala" in front of it. http://www.myspace.com/theeldoradosband
fingertalkin Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 I can't wait to get home and listen to these songs....especially "fried or fertilized", "sex syrup" and the one with the lyric anD WHEN YOU GET Here IM NOT JUST GONNA BANG IT, Imma SMASH IT TO SO LETS JUST SAY Im Gonna SMANG It How do you sign a computer screen?
plangentmusic Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 I just find bad music annoying. JAZZ UN-STANDARDS http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vE4FoJ4Cr4&feature=related DON'T FEAR...THE REVERB! 60's Instrumentals with MORE BASS!
EddiePlaysBass Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Great, now I'm gonna be singing "Go grab my belt / you need a spankin' baby" all day long ... Dinner with the inlaws will be all the more interesting today! "I'm a work in progress." Micky Barnes The Ross Brown Shirt World Tour
_Sweet Willie_ Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 "Good" and "bad" are wonderfully subjective -- even if we come close to a consensus view on either. For example, one critic's "they can't keep time worth a damn" may be another's "delightful experimentation with the ebbs and flows of tempo and playful use of multiple time signatures one measure to the next." Or, one listener's "they butchered that song!" is another's "creative interpretation of the original material." "Bad" music can sometimes be entertaining. It's the middle of the road, played-out, medicore shlock that bugs me! Peace. --SW spreadluv Fanboy? Why, yes! Nordstrand Pickups and Guitars. Messiaen knew how to parlay the funk.
EddiePlaysBass Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I really do not mind "bad" music. What I really, really cannot stand is boring music. I once saw a band play an entire Pink Floyd album, and whilst technically very proficient and near-note-perfect, they bored the crap out of me. "I'm a work in progress." jcadmus Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Apparently he's quite the fellow, who all the women find irresistible. In his own fevered imagination. "Tours widely in the southwestern tip of Kentucky"
Richard W Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Just what the world needs: another song about hitting women. "Everyone wants to change the world, but no one thinks of changing themselves." Leo Tolstoy

I once saw a band play an entire Pink Floyd album, and whilst technically very proficient and near-note-perfect, they bored the crap out of me. Playing an entire Pink Floyd album note-for-note could well be frightfully boring in a live setting. Hell, around here, playing any Pink Floyd will be met with empty stares and an emptier dance floor.... A bunch of loud, obnoxious music I USED to make with friends.
Tenstrum Posted March 7, 2011 Author Posted March 7, 2011 That's when you should bust out some Flynt Flossy and dance! www.youtube.com/watch?v=uxi73RQlLB8 Tenstrum "Paranoid? Probably. Always remember that you are unique. Just like everyone else.
zeronyne Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 This song advocates hugging from the side so you do not succumb to any unChristian temptations by hugging while actually facing each other. I especially enjoy when the married guy starts gloating about how he can front hug all day long. I also like that they threaten to put you "in a coma" if you practice hugging from the front. By the way, the Kama Sutra has at least 12 positions that are initiated from a side hug. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_Oj0-splZw "For instance" is not proof.
The Bear Jew Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 I generally don't care for "funny" music because it rarely makes me laugh. However, I've been walking around singing, "How ya like ya eggs, girl? Fried or fertilized... fried or fertilized?" and "Let me smang it, girl--smash it and bang it!" for the past few days. I enjoyed it and definitely snickered a few times. Musically, I think these guys have a really good handle on parodying the music on MTv right now. The side hug song is not funny to me at all. Not remotely. I just thought it was sort of sad. \m/ Erik "To fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists of breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting." --Sun Tzu

Richard W Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 No, because these are just kids who may not know any better. I give them points for trying. The singer had a decent voice (when it was on pitch). "Everyone wants to change the world, but no one thinks of changing themselves." Leo Tolstoy
Tenstrum Posted April 19, 2013 Author Posted April 19, 2013 So, have the Vinyl Cowtowns been dethroned? Ummmm...No....that was just horrific. This thread is supposed to be about music so bad that its good. That was just plain bad.... And here is another song by The Jeep: [video:youtube] KTJR!!!!! Tenstrum "Paranoid? Probably. But just because you're paranoid doesn't mean there isn't an invisible demon about to eat your face." Harry Dresden, Storm Front
