CEB Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 How about used keyboards that sell for more money than they are worth? Roland SH-101 I have one of these. They seem to bring good money. I think they sound like an old Atari 2600 video game. They only thing I ever found I liked it for was the little lead synth line in Funkytown. I would sell mine but I have never sold anything on ebay so I would not have any feedback points so no one would probably trust me as a seller. http://cgi.ebay.com/Roland-SH-101-analog-monophonic-synthesizer-/390264417605?pt=Keyboards_MIDI&hash=item5add926d45 "It doesn't have to be difficult to be cool" - Mitch Towne "A great musician can bring tears to your eyes!!! Sam Mullins Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Everybody has a first time on ebay. Despite having an account for years, I hadn't sold anything until a couple months ago and didn't have any trouble unloading several items that had been collecting dust. Yamaha CK88, Arturia Keylab 61 MkII, Moog Sub 37, Yamaha U1 Upright, Casio CT-S500, Mac Logic/Mainstage, iPad Camelot, Spacestation V.3, QSC K10.2, JBL EON One Compact www.stickmanor.com There's a thin white line between fear and fury - Stickman
Sundown Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 There are plenty... I'm looking for a used instrument right now, and I chuckle at some of the prices that are out there. I don't know if it's ignorance or denial, but the harsh reality is, once it leaves the store, an instrument's value drops considerably (mint condition or not). I was just at an electronics repair shop and they had a Peavey DPM SI synth that looked like it barely survived an earthquake. The asking price? $500... Sundown Finished: Gateway, The Jupiter Bluff, Condensation, Apogee Working on: Driven Away, Backscatter, Eighties Crime Thriller Main axes: Kawai MP11 and Kurz PC361 DAW Platform: Cubase
