she wails a mean guitar, sings her ass off, is totally young and not a whole lot bigger than her guitar...

plays with my old sideman bob laramie on the bass, and i forget the drummer's name, but he's good...give her some love, let me know what ya think of her. and the best part....she's from home.

ps...tho i hope i don't have to ask this, if ya keep stuff constructive rather than tear it apart, it'll serve to help season this player a lot more...which is really all she needs.

i've heard her shred, i've heard her play delicate, and play real blues, too. man...when she grows into it...think of the possibilities. not trying to be a bitch, but sometimes the guitar club can get vicious towards females of our persuasion, and that's counterproductive...women rock.

;)

anyways, check her out, yo. peace.

;)

Bob Laramie is s familiar name. Who else did he play with, and did he ever record?

Always remember that you are unique. Just like everyone else.

I couldn't get the songs on her website to play in my browser for whatever reason so I went over to her MySpace page and listened to some of what was posted there.

She's certainly got all the tools. I think her macro level musical sensibilities will grow naturally as she keeps playing (there are already some really nice moments in her songs, though). If I were coaching her I'd focus short term on rhythm, vibrato and bending to pitch consistently... those seem to me like the quickest wins on her way to the next level of musicianship (although the music on her MySpace page might be older than the stuff I wasn't able to listen to on her website so maybe these areas have been addressed already).

Like Griff... hoping this is constructive enough.

I haven`t noticed any attitude problems with female players. That would not make me happy. We have had several excellent six-string sisters on the forum.

Anyway I like what I heard-nice tone and the arrangements seem more than just solo vehicles. I would love to hear some professionally done mixes-

the guitar should be more up front and I couldn`t hear the vocals. Maybe that was just me, not sure.

Same old surprises, brand new cliches-

guys, i barely know you, but i love ya'll in a totally non-gay way (not that there's anything wrong with that).

i added the disclaimer after reading comments about orianthi, who i do like...but who's tone i find lame.

alot of guys think chicks can't rock...but they can, for sure...

thanks for the nice feedback to my friend...when i told her i'd posted here about her, she got really happy, and that's a beautiful thing. i will ask her to join us here, i bet she will.

she's a really cool person, and i can't wait to hear her in another 10 years...the videos and recordings on the net are good, but really don't do her justice at all.

anyways...you guys rock...thank you!

peace

Even if she was horrible (which she is NOT--she sounds GREAT!), I don't think anybody on this forum would tear her apart, especially if she is putting forth the effort. Would be great for her to join the forum!

Hey--wait a sec--I see "Spam content removed" from what looks to be a post by Desiree. I don't want to tell A-String he's wrong, but I think we're all looking forward to hearing from her!
