I bought the cd when it first came out. It's very good. A must for any Hendrix fan.

I never heard it either until a couple days ago. I picked it up @ Wally World for about $9 or so. A really great CD... if you love both Jimi and the Blues.

A lot of Jimi's riffs are reworked common blues riffs, and his early influences were bluesmen, so it's no surprise he handles the genre well. I've only heard "Red House" from earlier releases, so I'm sure this CD kicks ass.

I started out with NOTHING...and I still have most of it left!

This recording has authenticity. There are moments (not a lot) where you can pick up on amp crackles and hums.

At first I had thought I had blown one of my truck speakers. :D

I haven't heard the album but found a couple of tracks on Youtube.

There used to be a TV weatherman in Boston named Dick Albert. Dick was (is) kind of a fun guy and had his own little weather lexicon. When a weather pattern was going to remain in place for the next day he'd put the word "MOTS," pronounced like it's spelled, on his board. This stood for "More of the same."

This Hendrix material, for me, is MOTS. Just as good as anything he ever did, but no different, no new ground broken, he's just doing his psychedelic blues/modal thing over standard blues tunes. I've mentioned before that I was never such a fan of JH's guitar playing (this does not reflect my assessment of its quality, just my subjective taste). But for Hendrix fans, enjoy it in good health!
