16251 Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 I few days ago I posted this on Facebook. Hoping to turn my friends onto her amazing talent. I was surprised that no one commented how amazing she was. If I heard this for the first time I would of been compelled to respond and happy I got a chance to know her talent. Oh well, next time it's a post about Beiber or Black Eye Peas to get a response. [video:youtube] AvantGrand N2 | ES520 | Gallien-Krueger MK & MP | https://soundcloud.com/pete36251

Meisenhower Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 She was an incredible talent and had an amazing voice. The drummer in my quartet has been talking for years about the "thing" she had with his grandfather, and that he actually stole her from Jimmy Cobb (while she was married to Eddie Chamblee (the sax player) and has all these photos of "gramps" knoodling with Dinah. Another life cut way to short . . . she was 39 when she passed! Joe Muscara Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 and has all these photos of "gramps" knoodling with Dinah I'm guessing you mean canoodle. The Word of the Day for February 14 is: canoodle \kuh-NOO-dul\ verb : to engage in amorous embracing, caressing, and kissing Examples: Chaperones watched for couples attempting to sneak under the gymnasium's bleachers to canoodle. "The honeymooners are ubiquitous. They cuddle on the beaches, and they maneuver kayaks across the clear, turquoise waterways. They hold hands and canoodle at dinner in dimly lit restaurants." -- From an article by Ron Donoho in San Diego Magazine, January 2009 Did you know? The origins of "canoodle" are obscure. Our best guess is that it may come from an English dialect noun of the same spelling meaning "donkey, fool, or foolish lover," which itself may be an alteration of the word "noodle," meaning "a foolish person." That "noodle" in turn may come from "noddle," a word for the head. The guess seems reasonable given that, since its appearance in the language around the mid-19th century, "canoodle" has been most often used jocularly for playful public displays of affection by couples who are head over heels in love. I mean, it was yesterday's Word of the Day. "I'm so crazy, I don't know this is impossible! Hoo hoo!" - Daffy Duck "The good news is that once you start piano you never have to worry about getting laid again. More time to practice!" - MOI
Steve Nathan Posted February 15, 2011 Posted February 15, 2011 I've got a picture of me at age 12, getting her autograph, but I don't think there was any noodling, or canoodling going on Don't rush me. I'm playing as slowly as I can! http://www.stevenathanmusic.com/stevenathanmusic.com/HOME.html https://apple.co/2EGpYXK
