simpleman3441 Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Sup, guys. I haven't been able to stop by in a while. Been workin really hard on a bunch of stuff. New apartment, new lesson studio, new singer for my band, etc. Not gonna bore you too much with all that, though. I just had to jump on and share with you this player that has really inspired me recently. I was never much into the virtuosic players, but this guy really does it for me. Something about his tonality and his approach to things like tapping really strikes a chord with me, if you don't mind the pun... Never cared much for tapping except when it's done by my close friend Tommy and by Tosin Abasi. The multimeter really makes things fresh sounding as well. He has rekindled my passion for the instrument and my fondness for shedding. Haven't been able to put my guitar down in weeks. Hope you guys can enjoy him as well! Caevan O'Shite Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Hey, how does he tune and string his 8-String axes? Two lower ones added on the bottom, or one bass added underneath and one treble added on top, or what? whitefang Posted February 12, 2011 Posted February 12, 2011 Tosin? Yngwie? Ain't anybody named "Bill" "Ed" or "Frank" anymore? Whitefang I started out with NOTHING...and I still have most of it left!
picker Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 Tosin? Yngwie? Ain't anybody named "Bill" "Ed" or "Frank" anymore? Whitefang If I wasn't past the age when it would matter, I might change my name to "Yngsin"...or maybe "Towie"...to get a little of that foreigner-type street cred. Yeah, definitely "Towie", and say I was from Shredovia, or Whaktoutistan or something... Always remember that you are unique. Just like everyone else.

simpleman3441 Posted March 12, 2011 Author Posted March 12, 2011 This looks interesting: JamPlay > Online Guitar Instructors > Tosin Abasi Priced fairly well. Twenty bucks isn't a bad rate for a half hour lesson and there's more than that here. There's some good free stuff on Guitar Messenger. Link to that on their myspace site.
