Perhaps you musical masterminds can suggest some instrumental pieces suitable for a 3 piece, keyboard-based prog/fusion instrumental group (keys, bass, drums).

I'm working with a new drummer and would like to freshen up the set, mixing material I've written with some covers.

Thank you for kind consideration friends!

I know these probably arent proggy/fusioney enough, but if youre adding covers, its to give the audience a little bit of breathing room as it where, so you could make the exceptions maybe:

-Fanfare for the Common Man ELP

-StarCycle or El Becko (Jeff Beck: There & Beck)

-Peaches En Regalia (Zappa)

Bonanza Medley: Yours is No Disgrage (Yes) up to the 1st verse/Grand Illusion (Styx) up to the 1st Verse)/Tempus Fugit (Yes) (Cuz they borrow so hard from the Bonanaza gallop.)

Youre breaking in a new drummer: What happened to Hannah?

Hitting "Play" does NOT constitute live performance. -Me.

Very nice Steve!

I'm actually sitting at the C7 and plunking out "No Time..." and could actually see myself using this more as a solo number for myself at the piano. I've already gone through it (sans solo section) as a four pass arrangement where 1) I played mel. in LH and RH unison 2) back to A and re-played as written and for kicks 3) played treble in LH and bass clef and comp in RH. Made for a very nice jazz etude of sorts. I'm still figuring stuff out as I go but kudos my friend!!! Very tasty!

Another ELP/Mancini tune, also in the vein of "breathing room" would be the theme song from "Peter Gunn." Keith pulls off some really cool harmonies in this tune.....and if you figure them out, please share!

"We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing."

- George Bernard Shaw
