Ross Brown
Still working on singing. It is going ok. I am getting better and to the point where I like to sing and would like to sing more. Today I tried singing with headphones on. The music was blaring through the headphones but my vocals went right to the recorder. I could not hear myself, just the music. I was trying to simulate most of our gigs where I cant hear myself in the monitors. I listened to the recordings and there was no difference. I stayed on tune and it still sounded decent even though I could not hear anything of what was coming out of me. Gave me some piece of mind. Do you ever try this? Seems like an effective practice tool (dont even go to the place where the monitors should be adjusted so I can hear) "When I take a stroll down Jackass Lane it is usually to see someone that is already there" Mrs. Brown
EddiePlaysBass
Sounds like a great idea. I usually never hear myself either, when I am singing backup vocals. I don't sing lead (with The Dapper Dans) so no issues there  "I'm a work in progress." Micky Barnes The Ross Brown Shirt World Tour
Graham56
An interesting idea. I wear earplugs and when I sing BVs I can't hear anything but me. I have to look at the lead singer's mouth for cues as to what they are doing. Cheers Graham www.talkingstrawberries.com - for rocking' blues, raw and fresh! biguglyman
Love my wireless in-ears. I usually just wear one in my "good ear" with just my vocals in it. I get the rest of the band and the other singers in the uncovered ear.
