Tenstrum
Was at a local music store yesterday and they had one of these straps in. http://www.amazon.com/Levys-Leathers-M29-BLK-Leather-Foam-lined/dp/B000XPNQ9Y Tried it on, and it seemed very comfortable. I'm thinking about getting one. I already have one of their 3" wide straps and its okay, but sometimes my 5 string Yamaha just feels like it's going to pull my shoulder off. Tenstrum "Paranoid? Andy Calder
Wow, that's quite a beast of strap! My 3" Levy straps are perfect for the Alembic, as well as my 6-string Brice, but everyone's back is different. Can't wait hear a report on these! Paul K
I dunno. The bass is still going to be heavy, and your back will still have to support it. The only benefit is that the wider strap won't dig in to your shoulder. Things are just the way they are, and they're only going to get worse. b5pilot
I'm not so sure about it. It still appears to have a thin strap running through the middle of the pad concentrating the load there. Like the neck notch though. Lydian mode? The only mode I know has the words "pie ala" in front of it. http://www.myspace.com/theeldoradosband

Peace, wraub I'm a lot more like I am now than I was when I got here.

Yeah, but I hear the stuff out of eastern Europe and China drives geiger counters nuts... Always remember that you are unique. Just like everyone else. The Bear Jew
Oh, if you're gonna be a snob about it, just forget the whole thing. I'll peddle my kitten blood to folks with less refined tastes. \m/ Erik "To fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists of breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting." --Sun Tzu

Paul K
I don't mean to be too PC, but: Do they utilize the whole kitten, or are they those wasteful bastards that throw half the dead kitten away? Things are just the way they are, and they're only going to get worse.
98HondaCivic
The use the guts for strings, the blood for dye, and the furry hides for string dampeners. The cat is by far the most musical animal, when in carcass form.
