givememyleg
I own a Casino Privia PX-110 that I bought new in June 2008. Along with this I purchased a EMU XMIDI 1x1 USB MIDI Interface. About 6 months ago, the Emu stopped working and I could no longer connect to my PC. The power light still booted on but nothing would recognize my piano. I finally got around to purchasing a new port, M-AUDIO Uno 1x1, however, this does not work either. So now this is leading me to believe it never was the Emu, but instead my Casio. The power light boots on, and even the Midi-In light when I press a key, but the Midi-Out never comes on. I'm trying to connect with Mixcraft, but it won't pick up anything. I don't own anything else that has a midi out/in port on it, so I can't verify for 100% certainty, but it seems like it's my piano, no? I don't even know how I would go about getting this fixed if it is the problem. Anyone have a cost estimate or something? I don't understand how or why the piano would just stop working after not even 2 years of ownership. Any advice or suggestions is appreciated. Thanks! MIDI out will only light up when the Uno receives output from the computer. This could be a driver/software issue where the MIDI isn't getting sent to Mixcraft properly or you don't have something in Mixcraft set correctly. Busch. givememyleg
Thanks for your reply. I just updated drivers from the M-Audio website. Still no go. Hmm, maybe it's Mixcraft. It's detecting it afaik, just not taking my keystrokes. Do you know of any other program or another way I can test to see if something else detects a key press? Mr. B.
If you have a multimeter you can check it real easily, the females either work or they don't.
