bluzeyone
I know it was done on almost every string instrument, but do you know where I can hear it on piano? Maybe find the sheet music as well so I can make it a project to work on? Thank you. Mark Schmieder
I am listening to a recording of Paganini's 24 Capricci for solo violin as I read this! Spooky or what? Sorry I don't know if it was transcribed for piano, but I've definitely heard it on other instruments (including accordion), so it is likely that someone has done it. I did a similar search on "Pictures at an Exhibition" recently, after chancing upon a gorgeous two-guitar version. I found a whole Wiki page devoted to transcriptions of that work. Chances are the Paganini Capprici has a similar Wiki page. Cygnus64
There are transcriptions of the Caprices for Piano by Busoni and Lizst, among others. Schumann and Rachmaninov wrote accomps for them. Szymanowski wrote some. Whether they did #5 I don't know, someone did! A quick Google found the Schumann version for Piano solo: http://www.pianostreet.com/piano_sheet_music/Schumann-2197/Caprice-op-3-1-A-Minor.html
Cygnus64
Here ya go. Download the "Complete score", the A minor starts on page 10. Schumann calls it "No 1". http://imslp.org/wiki/Etudes_after_Paganini_Caprices,_Op.3_(Schumann,_Robert)

bluzeyone
Thanks alot! It will be be a long project! But, if it was easy, I wouldn't want to conquer it! I think learning a piece like that will really help my technique. "A good mix is subjective to one's cilia." http://hitnmiss.yolasite.com
