EddiePlaysBass
Hey gang, I'll be placing an order on CDBaby shortly, and I was wondering if you guys can recommend some other artists that you think are worth listening to. Doesn't have to be bass-driven, but that's nice To help a hand, I'm thinking of a Paul Wood cd cos I heard the title track a few years back on a Sopranos episode and I figured if it sticks with me that long, it's worth buying  Also probably one or two of the Jaco Pastorius Early Years recordings (see last BP magazine, the Michael Jackson issue). So anything you think might be interesting (including your own band, if any), post ahead !! "I'm a work in progress." jeremy c
Buy my cd, one of my brother's, (I played on some of the songs. It's original mostly acoustic music.) a cd of Israeli music I played on, , or one of these cds that I played on. (it's mellow jazz and I played on all of them except the Christmas one.) You asked. Free download of my cd!.

simpleman3441
One of the teacher's I work with has an album on there. His name is Roy King. Excellent Drummer. Some guy in Japan was real impressed and hunted him down to buy 300 copies from him personally. I haven't heard it, yet. The Bear Jew
The Casualties of Jazz. Black Sabbath played by a jazz trio--bass, drums and organ. No vocals. Just trust me on this. \m/ Erik "To fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists of breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting." --Sun Tzu

That is great stuff! Where did you run across that, Erik? A soundman friend of mine is a friend of the band. He played the album before one of our gigs, and I loved it so much that we had the DJ play it during the cocktail hour at my wedding just to mess with my musician friends. \m/ Erik "To fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists of breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting." --Sun Tzu

The Bear Jew
I'm not even kidding... we had the DJ play it, and a drummer friend came up to me and said, "OK, what the hell? I'm pretty sure I'm a little buzzed, but I think I am hearing 'Fairies Wear Boots' as a jazz instrumental." I told him that, while he was probably buzzed, yes... that was exactly what he was hearing. We still get compliments about the music we chose for our wedding. \m/ Erik "To fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists of breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting." --Sun Tzu
BillWelcome Home Studios
I think that JJ Blair gave "Casualties.." to me at a trade show. I'm rather a fan of the performance on Apocolyptica's first album, Metallica done on four cellos....but I hate the production values.
