Tell us some of the highlights concerning amps and effects- pedals, rack-stuff, whatnot- being set-up and used there, Myles O'Tone...

A lot of the stuff can be seen in the photos (still a lot more to upload) and if anybody has specific questions I will try to answer those. Things are always changing, sometimes even from one show to the next.

As a bit of a "things to come" .... March 1, the first night of the new Tonight Show (Jay leno) Brad Paisley is the scheduled guest at the moment.

I like this shot. I guess something was going wrong as Chad and the drum tech both have a certain sort of look on their face.

No photoshop work here, this is the laser test before the show at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

There is also a short video of this laser testing on youtube in my videos where there are a few hundred videos, many music related.

Great photos, Myles!

Oooh- izzatt a Bruno Underground 30 head?

I got to play through one of those, what a great amp! Expensive; I almost decided to pull the trigger on it, I could've squeaked by and juuust afforded it at the time... Kinda wish I had!

Ask yourself- What Would Ren and Stimpy Do?

Brad has a few of Tony Bruno's amps ... two Underground 30 heads (that I know of) a 45 watter and a Vox head that Tony Bruno built as well. Lots of Z amps and other stuff as well.

Myles:

Great pics... would it be possible to get some close-up pics of the Hammond/keys rig? Also, who's sitting in that chair with Brad?

Cheers,

SG

The only shots I have is what I have ... no keyboard shots. Have nore to upload. I do not know what what chair photo you are referring to.

Sven - no problem. It is not a matter of who is playing with Brad on this tour, the same guys are on all tours and also play on the CDs in the studio which is something of a departure from most Nashville based groups that hire studio folks rather than use the band that live together and play together on the road.

Gary Hooker Guitar (generally stage left)

Jody Harris Guitar, Mandolin (generally stage right)

Randle Currie Steel Guitar (listen to his licks follow Brad's as he trades lick for lick and locks on tempo like a Swiss watch.)

Kendal Marcy Keyboards, Banjo, Mandolin

Justin Williamson Fiddle, Mandolin

Kenny Lewis Bass

Ben Sesar Drums

Hope that answered your question ... Kendall is on the keys.

Myles:

Wow, that is indeed surprising, as I was aware of the "studio vs. touring" line that divides a lot of the Nashville guys (one of these days I'll score a tour playing some of Steve Nathan's & Matt Rollings' work, if I play my cards right ;):D ).

I've always loved Brad's work... great to know that he's got the team with him all the time! Thanks for the info. :thu:
