Ron G
Just put a set of La Bella Deep Talkin Flats 45-105's on both of my P's sound outstanding. The sting tension is less then DR flats 45-105's feels somewhat like rounds.

Switch hitter
I always loved the sound of thicker strings. BTW how are the DR flats? I never got around to trying them.

kenfxj
I have the Deep Talkin' black nylon tapewounds on my Precision. They're incredible. Can't say enough good things about them. Push the button Frank.

Sorry, DR flats sound nice but the string tension was little too much.

I've had a set on my fretless J-style bass for over 2 years now and I love them to death.
jlrush
I tried flats out a couple of times in the past and they didn't fit well with me at the time. But since stringing up some TI Jazz Flats on my PJ seven months ago I won't be looking at rounds again for a long while, at least not on that bass. They've been a perfect fit and the tone is awesome. I haven't tried the Deep Talkin Flats, and it might be years before I do. I have 2 sets of TI's to wear out first. Then again there's the 'new' project P bass that is in the planning stages. Hmmm! Ron G
I had tried DR flats and Rotosound flats in the past 45-105 they killed my hands and had given up on them. Then I saw this:
b5pilot
I may have to give those LaBellas a shot. I currently have some old Fenders on my Squier P-bass that do seem a bit high tension. Lydian mode? The only mode I know has the words "pie ala" in front of it. http://www.myspace.com/theeldoradosband
